Kelly Creedon

Kelly Creedon is a documentary filmmaker and editor based in the southeastern US.She works with a variety of clients including documentary film teams, nonprofit organizations, and editorial outlets to develop compelling narratives for both feature-length and short-form documentary films. She thrives on working collaboratively with small teams to craft intimate, nuanced, character-driven films that drive audiences to action on some of the most critical issues of our time. She works in a broad range of formats from verité to archival-heavy to interview-driven projects, and she loves to dig into complex and challenging stories.Her film editing credits include the feature-length documentaries LOVE, JOY & POWER: TOOLS FOR LIBERATION (DOC NYC 2025), BRIEF TENDER LIGHT (POV 2024), MAMA BEARS (SXSW 2022), JIMMY IN SAIGON (BFI Flare 2022), FARMSTEADERS (POV 2019) and YOU GAVE ME A SONG: THE LIFE AND MUSIC OF ALICE GERRARD (Full Frame 2019), as well as the documentary short SANTUARIO (Tribeca Film Institute IF/THEN 2018). She is the recipient of a 2018-2019 Artist Fellowship Award from the North Carolina Arts Council.Her organizational clients have included the Skoll Foundation, SEIU, StoryMine Media, City Life/Vida Urbana, Community Labor United and the Workers Rights Consortium, among others.She has taught visual journalism and documentary storytelling at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University and the UNC Chapel Hill School of Media and Journalism, where she received her MA in Visual Communication.
